The English Department offers a range of Extra Curricular Activities which serve to enrich our students’ literacy knowledge and support their learning.

We work closely with the Lancashire Library Service providing students with the opportunity to become involved with the Children’s Book of the Year Award, partake in author visits and enter a variety of competitions at both County and National Level.

The department provides both lunchtime and after school clinics in which students receive one to one tuition in order to help them overcome any weaknesses.
