Outstanding education at the heart of the community

We have a Fair Trade Committee in school, made up of students who meet once a week and have been working towards achieving Fair Trade status for the school. As part of this they have regularly been running a Fair Trade café during the lunch hour. Here students have been able to come and have coffee, tea and other Fair Trade products.

Our Christian Union group meets every Friday lunchtime. Their aim is to worship together with invited guests from the local community. They discuss different themes each week. It is open to all students.

The Damaris Trust came into school to work with a group of Gifted and Talented RE students. Students took part in a simulation and world debt and it’s affect on a fictitious African country. Students were able to use their skills of observation, analysis and problem solving based around an interactive software presentation. A very popular part of the session was a re-enactment of a parliamentary debate.
