Tarleton Academy is a vibrant and ambitious school with a culture of high expectations. We are now looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our successful Maths Faculty. We welcome applications from NQTs and experienced teachers.

The successful candidate will join a forward thinking Academy with a relentless focus on providing outstanding learning experiences and raising achievement.  Working as part of our close knit team you will inspire and develop outstanding classroom practice with high aspirations for students. Through your passion for learning you will develop new and creative ideas, embedding an enjoyment of your subject into lessons and the faculty by sharing good practice. You will work with a committed team of specialist mathematics teachers.

As a teacher in the Faculty you will be involved in reviewing and developing schemes of work and resources, addressing gaps in attainment of underachieving students and ensuring progression for the classes you teach.

As part of the interview process candidates will be required to teach, potentially at short notice, a challenging lesson on a topic of your own choice with a problem solving focus to a Year 8 group that would engage and inspire the students.
