New Swimming Pool

All bookings must now be made and paid for in advance at the above websites. 

At Tarleton Academy, we have a brand new 20-metre swimming pool for school and community use (as of April 2023). The pool is 0.9m at the shallow end, sloping to 2m at the deep end. Our old swimming pool provided great benefits to the school and community over many years and we look forward to welcoming the community to the new pool over the years to come

The swimming pool has separate male, female and accessible changing facilities.

We aim to make the swimming pool accessible to the community as possible, offering convenient times for community users to make use of the facility. We provide regular lane swimming slots over the course of the week and public swimming opportunities at the weekend for families and groups of friends. These sessions are staffed by NPLQ qualified Lifeguards from the Tarleton Academy Community team.

Please note children in Reception and KS1 (Year 1 and Year 2) must be accompanied by an adult in the water at a ratio of one adult to two children.

Children who have not started primary school must be accompanied by an adult in the water at a ratio of one adult to one child.

Males are not permitted in the female changing room. Boys under the age of 8 are permitted with an accompanying responsible female. 

Females are not permitted in the male changing room. Girls under the age of 8 are permitted with an accompanying responsible male.
